When it came to colouring the thing, I had to think about a colouring scheme first. That took me a while and then detailing the water... Bleurgh. I had to take reference for the little stream but now can handle water a lot better than before. So it's always good to use some good references from ature or photographs to look up what it actually looks like and to learn how to do it next time you draw or paint water.
I found it incredibly easy excepts for the flowy water, which looks a bit like cream. lol
But all in all, I'm quite pleased how it turned out and that I didn't mess it up at all.
It was quite a tough concept at the first sight but when I was working on it, it was ok and very pleasant.
Hope you like it as well!

The flow of the hair is great. I like the idea you have; Taking flowing hair into a literal sense.
The color change in the bedrock is something that catches me. It may not be very significant, but I do think it's a job well done. I've seen some people just ignore the change altogether or just do some squiggly shades of aqua, both of which makes me twitchy.
And, that's my two cents.

Worth the effort, imo
